It was quite apparent from their interchange with each other that they absolutely couldn’t stand each other. I thought to myself that no one can help this couple find love for each other. I attended the Compassionate Communication workshop last night and I am just left speechless… Scott Catamas is an amazing teacher. What touched me the most was his compassionate and loving attitude towards each one of us. I am a wedding officiant who wanted to be able to offer both pre and post marital communication sessions to my clients. I decided to sign up for the Love Coach Academy certification course and I found it to be not only excellent for developing my skills, but also personally transformational. The LCA on-line class environment is warm and welcoming, and Scott’s teaching is insightful, compassionate and well organized. He is an excellent class manager, allowing time for plenty of personal expression while setting clear goals and staying focused on the syllabus and flow for each session. Love Coach Academy offers a wealth of information to its students: the worksheets present helpful practices that are immediately applicable to a coaching session, with detailed suggestions for working with clients. All of the classes are recorded and available for review. We learned a variety of techniques for helping clients communicate more effectively, including taking connected “Time Outs,” addressing previous wounds without projecting them onto current relationships, and understanding how to move beyond sympathy into greater empathy and harmony. We were also introduced to Somatic therapy, which helps clients reconnect with their emotions through observing and integrating their own physiological signals-a process which we witnessed to be extraordinarily effective-sometimes in unexpected ways! During the course, I grew to value and appreciate my fellow students greatly. This program attracts people who are highly motivated to be of service, to listen deeply and empathetically, and to grow beyond their own preconceptions, traumas and stories. The information offered through this certification program is practical, impactful, and revolutionary in transforming relationships and building trust. I unreservedly recommend the LCA course and will be furthering my education in future classes.
